Why Choose Flint House for your Wedding

Flint House is a modern, stylish spot tucked right in the heart of Brighton’s Lanes, the kind of place that instantly feels special. By day, it’s known for its small plates, thoughtful wine list and killer cocktails, but for the right couple, it can transforms into a unique and intimate wedding setting that’s full of atmosphere and soul.

It’s not your traditional wedding venue, but that’s exactly what makes it so exciting. If you’re dreaming up a laid-back celebration with beautifully crafted food, warm conversations and a setting that feels effortlessly cool, Flint House might just be the one. Whether it’s an intimate dinner or a buzzing gathering with small plates and flowing drinks, it all works here.

As a Flint House wedding photographer, I love how the light pours into the first-floor terrace—perfect for soaking up the Brighton sunshine while taking in the buzz of the Lanes below. It’s the kind of place where memories are made over good food and great company.

The Space at Flint House

Flint house is split over two floors with an open kitchen downstairs and a bar area upstairs. There’s countertop dining and seating throughout as well as the sunny terrace on the 1st floor.

Spots for Couple Portraits Around Flint House

As a Flint House wedding photographer, one of my favourite things to do is step out into the heart of Brighton with my couples and explore all the magic the city has to offer. The Lanes and seafront are full of colour, character and those playful, unposed moments that make your wedding gallery feel alive. If you fancy sneaking off for some iconic portraits, here are a few spots I always love to explore:

The Lanes themselves – With colourful bunting strung overhead and quirky shop fronts at every turn, it’s the perfect mix of charm and character.

The beach – A stroll along the pebbles is always a winner (and yes, if you’re up for it, you can absolutely dip your toes in the sea). Brighton’s horizon at golden hour is magic.

The Royal Pavilion & Gardens – Just a short walk away, with grand architecture and lush greenery. A little oasis right in the middle of town.

The Afloat statue – This doughnut-shaped sculpture on the seafront groyne near Palace Pier is surprisingly photogenic. Trust me.

Palace Pier arcade games – For a bit of fun, grab some change and hit the slots. Share a bag of doughnuts, laugh too much, and watch out for the seagulls, they’re professional snack thieves.

The vintage carousel – It’s full of movement and colour, and if you’re feeling playful, hop on for a ride.

The lower promenade – Lined with bright, bold storefronts, this stretch offers great energy and backdrops.

Beach deck chairs – Pause, breathe, and soak in the view. The simplest shots often become the favourites.

Graffiti walls – Brighton is full of unexpected street art at every turn. This is perfect for a more urban feel.

Wherever we end up, the best part of shooting around Flint House is how relaxed and spontaneous it can be. Brighton has a way of making you feel like anything goes, and that’s exactly what makes your wedding portraits feel like you.
