The small, wild, tender moments

you’ll want to remember

Brighton family photographer capturing real family life at home

A Brighton family photographer for the beautifully unscripted bits

Families are a strange force to be reckoned with. Every one has its own little inner world: the loves, the quirks, the soft spots, the chaos, the tiny rituals that hold everything together.

As a Brighton family photographer, my approach is documentary-led and honest. I’m not here to create a polished version of your family life, but to capture life as it truly felt in that moment.

This is very far from a traditional photoshoot. It’s more like me and my camera hanging out with you, quietly noticing the things that might otherwise slip past: the laughs, the tears, the hugs, the sibling squabbles, the snack breaks, the quiet cuddles and all the small everyday moments that make your family yours.

Because when you look back, I don’t want you to just remember what everyone looked like. I want you to remember how this chapter of your life actually felt.

Meet your Brighton family Photographer

I’m Olga, a Brighton family photographer and mum, which means I know that family life is rarely tidy, quiet or beautifully behaved for very long. And honestly? That’s where the gold hides.

I’m always drawn to the real parts of life: the cuddles, the chaos, the odd socks, the snack negotiations, the tiny hands, the big feelings, the sofa dens and the everyday moments you don’t realise you’ll miss one day.

My family sessions are relaxed and documentary-led, so there’s no pressure to perform or become the magazine version of yourselves. You just get to be together, exactly as you are, while I quietly photograph the story as it unfolds.

For the Wild at Heart

Family photography across Brighton, Hove & Sussex

Family sessions can happen wherever your real life feels most like you, because none of us fit into the same neat little box. It might be a slow morning at home, a skip along Brighton beach, a tumble around Hove Lawns, a wander through the Lanes, or an adventure through Preston Park, Stanmer Park or the South Downs.

As a Brighton family photographer, I’m always drawn to natural spaces where kids can run free, but most importantly, to the places where you feel most at home. The grass-stained knees, the ice cream-covered faces, the tired cuddles, the wild energy and all the tiny in-between bits. Those are the details that make the story yours.

They absolutely don’t need to! My family photography is documentary-led, so movement, play, cuddles, and little bursts of chaos are all part of the story. I’m not expecting children to perform for the camera or pose perfectly.

Yes. At-home family sessions are perfect for capturing ordinary life in a really meaningful way: breakfast at the table, favourite toys, sleepy cuddles, garden adventures and all the tiny moments that make your family yours.

Yes, I photograph families across Brighton, Hove, Sussex and beyond. If you have somewhere in mind, tell me what you’re thinking, and we can plan the session around it.

Wear something that feels like you and that you can move comfortably in. I’d avoid huge logos or anything that feels too stiff or uncomfortable. Once you’re booked in, I’m always happy to help with outfit ideas.

If the weather is truly miserable, we can either embrace it, move the session indoors, or rearrange for another date. A bit of wind, cloud, or drizzle can actually make for beautiful photos, but I’ll never force a session if it’s going to feel stressful or soggy in the wrong way.

Absolutely. Grandparents, dogs, favourite teddies and the important little extras are all welcome. Family life is rarely just one neat version of itself, so I’m very happy to include the people and creatures that make your world feel like home.
