Lost in the Lanes Wedding Photographer

so you're having a Lost in the Lanes wedding! Here's the low down on everything you need to know

Why Choose Lost in the Lanes for your Wedding

Lost in the Lanes is a much-loved Brighton favourite and an unexpectedly brilliant wedding reception venue. Tucked away in the heart of The Lanes, it’s intimate, atmospheric and full of warmth. And while it may be famous for brunch, it turns out it does weddings rather beautifully too.

The space has a relaxed, candle-glow feel with natural textures and a cosy restaurant layout that works perfectly for long tables, incredible food and proper time together. It’s ideal for couples who want their wedding reception to feel sociable and unforced, centred around great cooking, good wine and conversation that flows long into the evening.

Its central Brighton location makes everything feel effortless. Guests can walk straight in from nearby ceremonies, portraits can happen just outside in the surrounding streets, and the whole day moves at an easy, natural pace. For a Lost in the Lanes wedding photographer, it’s a dream setting for documentary-style images that capture real moments without interruption.

If you’re planning a small Brighton wedding reception that’s food-led, full of atmosphere and quietly cool, Lost in the Lanes is a wonderful choice and a joy to photograph.

The Space at Lost in the Lanes

The main space fits up to 50 guests seated or 100 standing, making it ideal for intimate, laid-back weddings. The ambient lighting sets the mood while your guests tuck into seasonal, beautifully prepared dishes. Then, once the tables are cleared, the front of the restaurant transforms into a dance floor, ready for you to party the night away.

Spots for Couple Portraits Around Lost in the Lanes

One of the best things about having a Lost in the Lanes wedding photographer is that you barely have to go anywhere to get great couple photos. Step outside and Brighton just… does its thing.

★ The Lanes (aka right outside the door)  Twisty little alleyways, textured walls, shopfronts, great light. Perfect for relaxed, unposed photos that feel properly Brighton without trying too hard.

★ Snack stop  Highly recommended. Grab an ice cream or  snack and have a laugh, forget the camera’s there for a minute. These are always some of my favourite photos.

★ Seafront stroll  If the mood’s right, we wander down to the sea. Big skies, sea air, movement, wind in your hair. It always works, whatever the weather decides to throw at us.

★ The Pavilion (stunning!)  A short walk gets you to the Royal Pavilion and its gardens. It’s bold, playful and a total Brighton icon. Great if you want a few frames that feel a bit special and full of colour.

★ North Laine wander  Head slightly north and you’ve got colour, street art, quieter corners and loads of personality. Ideal if you want something fun, modern and a bit editorial without going full photoshoot mode.

★ Graffiti hunting  Brighton is full of brilliant street art, and there’s always something new popping up around The Lanes and North Laine. We’ll keep an eye out as we wander and grab a few fun, colourful frames that give your photos a modern edge and make them completely unique to your day.
